Gothika Starring Halle Berry, Charles S. Dutton and Robert Downey, Jr. I wasn't sure what this movie was supposed to be about going into it. Overall it turned out to be a creepy movie with a surprisingly good plot. For all it's spookiness, I actually enjoyed it. Nice twists and very good acting on everyone's part
out of five Happy Faces.
Honey Starring Jessica Alba, Mekhi Phifer and Little Romeo. I expected it to be fairly lame, but sometimes I can enjoy a good B movie. Truth be told it was pretty cliche, predictable and yes, lame. But, I got what I wanted out of it.
1/2 out of five Happy Faces.
Rundown Starring The Rock and Seann William Scott. This movie was about a tough guy who had to bring home the boss's kid from the jungles of Brazil before he could leave the hired thug biz to open his own restaurant. I loved this movie. It was action-packed and really funny.
I give it

Sunday was our couple's shower thrown by my Matron of Honor, Sharon. It was a lot of fun. She and some of my other friends did a great job decorating in our silver and lavender theme and they passed out plastic leis to everyone as they arrived to signify our honeymoon in Hawaii.
Sharon joked that the leis everyone wore signified a special surprise... that everyone is coming with us to Hawaii.
We played some fun games: Bridal Pictionary (which my team won), Pocket or Purse, where the person with the most items from the list won, and a game where I was blindfolded and had to pick John out of a lineup by touching men's chests and arms. I guessed correctly. Woo-hoo!
Here are a few pictures:

With our wedding so close to the horizon (less than a month away), it seems I've begun thinking about what comes next. Not necessarily with our relationship... that's clear: More Love & Happiness! But I'm talking more about life events and changes in general.
Will we change jobs, buy new cars, re-decorate the house, etc...? Probably all of that will occur and then some.
I look forward to Robyn writing more... and me too. I want to try it, but I know it's challenging. Believe me, I've watched Robyn and her writing friends. It seems that writing books is like having a perpetual monkey on your back.
Today, I find out what kinda raise my company will give me this year. I have high hopes but low expectations. My management changed very recently, so now my new manager who somewhat determines the raise really has no direct contact with me, so I have no idea how she will determine what amount is appropriate. But I have my fingers crossed... If I'm disappointed, I'll have to examine my options, "AFTER THE WEDDING".
Wow! One more month and we'll be married. This wedding that we planned for 18 months will finally happen. While I'm very excited about the wedding and honeymoon (as well as the marriage), I for one will be glad to finally have the wedding. Then we can go on living our lives without this BIG EVENT to plan for what seems like every day.
The scary part is that I can no longer use "AFTER THE WEDDING" as an excuse for every other thing that I have been putting off.
Okay... I've gained all my weight back and then some from when I started weight watchers over a year ago. I can't blame the diet.. because I have been off it for so long.
Anyway.. I MUST get back on it NOW and be very dilligent. Usually it's the bride that worries about fitting into her dress... It would be really embarassing if I couldn't fit into my tux... (especially since those rental tuxes come with the adjustable waist.
No more cake. No more jelly beans. No more fudge. For now on, it's lean cuisine.
That is until the Honeymoon in Hawaii.. I plan to pig out like a samoan there.
